Delete this if you want. But the US government is shutting down in the next day over the budget. You need something from your federal/state office go get it now.

I would make you a bet it doesn’t shut down going by what has happened in past time lines.

I have little issue with the federal government shutting down , but it doesn't really shut down it forces employees to work for future payment of their back wages

I have a cousin that married a Fed prison guard so it is hard on her family every time he has to go unpaid for a while when the gov shuts down

but if it makes a change let it close

should set up the prisons with all the old MREs and just have a few trustees toss MREs to each cell and reduce guards to minimum no visitation no transfers , just everyone stays in their cells till the GOV re-opens.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Other than the mail, I think we would be better off with the federal government shut down. Let's lay off 100 senators, a few hundred Representatives, and that idiot in the White House who sends billions of US dollars to the Ukraine. We'd have plenty of money for all other essential services if we did that.

What do I need? The whole of it to stay shut down forever.

I'm confident that my spineless Chump of a governor can things for my state. If not we got a pretty good sheriff in my county. And im not bad at taking care of myself either.

The longer they shut down, the less time they have to screw stuff up. I am good with that. Not that government works when it isn't shut down. Just now its official. Do I have to pay taxes while they take a time out ??

Let's go Brandon

I didn't otherwise last time.

time before that a co-worker was trying to get his wife into the country , she was here on a student visa when they met and went home like a good girl when it was over and it took him a year to get her here legal after he went to her country for the weeding.

all the illegals really spit in the face of the people who do it right.

middle America hardly notices

Does this mean my taxes will be reduced for the lack of service?

It's said that when the Gov shuts down they can't do anything FOR us,
I say they can't do anything TO us!

The last one my brother was told to stay home. He was off work for a few days. But never missed a day of pay as they got paid back pay.

Let it shut down if it means securing the boarder or staying up and running I'll gladly take a 6 month shut down

Warrior is correct, they might not be at work but they have always gotten back pay. Sounds like a paid vacation to me. Just stupid Washington baloney.

I think it was Obama that hired guards to keep people out of the national parks when they shut down. Maybe not all national parks but yellow stone for sure. It was just trying to inconvenience people that had vacations planed.
