It's kinda cool today. I threw some cookies at him and hit him but he didn't move. He wasn't hit or anything and hadn't been ran over. His eyes were bright and his tongue was flickin.. He's lucky he was miles away from.my house Hhmmmm..any ofyall know the home range of a black snake?

I let most snakes live unless they are a threat to me. There's a reason they are here. Same here. I even let a Black Widow Spider alone recently crossing a two track road in the desert without squishing it.

Why would you want to kill a black snake? They are Beneficial as they eat rats and mice that would bother your chickens. The only black snakes I've had in my chickens had a belly full of hen eggs. I caught em red handed in the nests. I have cats for.mice and feist dogs and traps for rats.

You still selling ramps? Did you have them frozen? I thought you moved on to pawpaws I like black snakes I can see how you don't however. My better half doesn't like any snakes

We're on to pawpaws, ramps are in th spring.
I froze some last year and they weren't worth a crap. I think I mentioned this before,,but I take the leek (ramp) greens and leaves and dehydrate them.Then I run them through the blender into a powder.They make an awesome seasoning stored in jars and seem to last for years.Just a thought so you could try selling that?The seasoning is awesome on just about everything.We also put the leeks in a pickle then water bath cann them.Last for years like that also.Just a couple suggestions for your ramp business.

Cathryn, do you have any pictures of your feists? I had a feist, for 15 1/2 years, named Dingle. She was one of the best two dogs I have ever had.
