If the bottom ring is rusted so bad, I'd take the $300 but I'd go back in and remove those ladders from the walls as well as any interior doors and their hardware, and as much lumber and boards as you can get out without further compromising the integrity of whatever is still holding it up. Use a chain saw if you have to but use it as sparingly as possible.

We have people around here that will pay you to tear down your old barns in exchange for the lumber from them. The previous owners of our house did that for a living for years.

The problem with going back and removing stuff is that my time and my crews time is valuable. I'm just to booked out with work to go mess with it unless I'm pulling thousands of dollars out a day and selling it.

If I can't get more for the barrel I'm going to put a Lil roof on it and cut a door into it and turn it into a play house for my daughter.
