While baiting a bear bait I had a martin come in for a photo op. First time I ever saw one in the wild. I watched it for about 10 minutes. Now for the question, do they all have so much white face markings and I noticed it's toes were also white. Such a pretty little animal.

Cool photos. Not that uncommon to have white markings on them but that one has more than usual.

Our marten's here along the Canadian border will have lighter faces quite a bit of the time,cool critter fun to watch on bear baits etc.

On one of my traplines the marten can run from creme colored to almost black with varying amounts of white on their face and toes.

Victor#0, which ones bring the best price? Light or dark? I'm about as far from a marten as can be and still be in same country, just curious.

Very cool, but be careful with posting that and who you tell. You will end up with WDNR imposing trap restrictions to try to “save” them.

My extra pales and darks bring the best prices but my highest has been on some of my extra pales.
