Thanks for the comments guys. As for setting where there are no deer....here in NY you're setting for fox and yote on farmland, typically crop edges and borders along hay, soy, and cut cornfield. Same places deer look for food sources. I've used fox urine for many years, and have few issues with deer. Yeah, I've had deer step into my traps a number of times, but they were gonna step in them urine or not. I don't agree with the guys who claim the deer are attracted to the salt in the urine. It may make them pause at your set, but if they were that close they probably would hit your set anyways. Think about it...a doe and her twin fawns follow a crop edge or field border, thats 12 legs shuffling around your sets. Urine or no urine, your set had a high probability of getting hit.

I’m setting farmland here as well. I quit setting crop edges and borders years ago.

I take that back, I do make other sets doing WC but I usually don’t have to worry about deer.
