She is in a hospital ICU unit with a rare form of pneumonia. Retton’s daughters had set up some type of Go Fun Me program to pay for the hospital bills. They raised so far $260,000. The goal was to get $50,000. The part I don’t get, Retton’s net worth is reported to be 8 million dollars. Something here doesn’t make sense. No hospitalization insurance?. Daughters taking advantage of her health creating a scam?

I had someone ask me for money at work because a lady's dog died. Not a service dog. Just a dog. I politely declined. Heartless Scoundrel !!!  w

I heard a while back someone made big bucks from the animal lovers.
He had a little rabbitt and he made a go fund me to buy food for it cause he couldnt afford it.
If he didnt get enough he was going to have to euthanize the rabbit.
Sort of like a nice ransom demand.
Apparently he made a bunch of money to feed the rabbit.
Dont know what happened to the rabbit but rabbit stew is pretty good.
What I found weird is that rabbits eat grass,lol

Interesting as I am struggling with this topic currently.
One: a girl was hurt pretty badly in a car accident and I wish her the best, but they are doing a fund raiser for her and her family to cover expenses and such. Her father who is in her life as a father is worth over 15 million.
Two: my sister, just had a successful surgery for cancer, (double mastectomy), which I am happy about. But now they are planning a fundraiser to cover her and her husband's unexpected expenses, she is short on days at work etc. Now both work, they can afford to build a cabin on the lake, going to go to Jamaica, own plenty of toys and newer vehicles, and complain they won't be able to retire until they're 70. I just cannot support this type of fraud in my opinion.

I read a story that the goal for fund raising of $ 50,000.00 was met and exceeded the total raised was over $ 253,000.00 if I remember correctly . FWIW I sent a prayer for her recovery .
