I have a pair of pronghorns and also a pair of Irish setter boots. With a pair of wool socks they are plenty warm and comfortable for walking my december and January coyote line here.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

If I can get 2-3 years out of a pair I’m satisfied. These boots are advertised as waterproof and they performed exactly as advertised. As soon as cooler weather gets here I’ll be back in them. They’re a LOT more comfortable than my snake boots. They are extremely light compared to other boots I had and over a 2 week period in the PNW I averaged almost 7 miles a day and NO blisters. The year before in another pair of boots I was taping my feet after the 3rd day with blisters on top of blisters.

my only issue with the keen is they split at the ball of the foot on every pair some go a little longer but some only last 4-5 months.

I have had 3 versions of the same model
the 6 inch water proof
the low not water proof
and the low waterproof
because that was the model that fit my foot well , wide enough but not too wide in the heel

all 3 failing in the same spot , the most recent just cam unglued at that point

I am headed out to the shoe box tomorrow to see what they have , i really prefer to try on because even on brand in the same size can fit differently between models

generally the ONLY place I go for shoes , headed there tomorrow

I took the kids there for shoes this summer , Steve has retired to peruse his other hobby-buissnesses.

his daughter is running the place and you would hardly know he wasn't just out for the day.
I talked to her and she ordered me up some more of the socks.
hard to find the socks in the big size and they had a fair price on them and she shipped them to the house for less than it would cost me in gas to go pick them up.

I wear fox river wool blend boot socks

I also now wear compression socks since the blood clot in 2020

went to the Shoe box today

waked in not sure what I would walk out with

talked with one of the long time employees , he said Steve was around last night , they still call him boss even though the daughters run the place and Steve is off selling memorabilia
by the way apparently Steve has a Micky Mantel rookie card if anyone is looking , I said I would pass as I gave up on baseball cards in the 80s.

we discussed what had happened with my last 3-4 pair of keens how they failed and he suggested a sewn on sole boot but it would cost a bit of weight I tried on a few , a few are all your options are even at the shoe box when you want a 15EE or in Irish setters I needed a 16EE so I was hitting the top size in the line , as well as wanting a stitched on sole , non safety toe . I did laps around the store for a while wanting to make sure they were comfortable and not going to rub in any places and I walked out with the soft toe version of what my son wears.

not exactly a light weight hiker more of a sturdy boot but very comfortable my son was with buying new insoles for his that are now a year old he wears them 4 x 10 and then some every week and they are holding up better than any he has had before.
his have to be safety toes working in the factory he wore one of those step counters and does about 19-20K a day at work so a fair bit more than I get most days.

8 inch Carolina soft toe
which is a lot like what I wore for a lot of years in Redwings then they stopped making that model

Yall can laugh but the high top mocisons made by Ariat or Twisted X are the bomb. Years ago, Roper made a high top cowboy hiking type boot that I loved. I should have bought 6 or 9 pairs.

Crispi hunting boots. You will never get another boot after owning a pair of them. If you ever need a new pair, these are amazingly bullet proof last forever boot that is made.

Insulated hunting boot is what I have they are Italian/Swiss hand built made.

Well shucks ya big ol sasquatch of a man. I have an uncle that is 6'9" he tells me finding anything his size is basically a modern miracle. I asked him well while makes cloths for NBA stars and he said companies that cater to millionaires and he isn't one of them!

Duluth makes shirts or has them made for them 4 5X

plenty places make gym shorts and sweat pants and basketball shoes come in a 18, 19 , 20

but hunting cloths , work cloths , or boots

and everyone has their own idea of what a 4X is also plenty of 4X that you get the idea they were thinking of the 5'2" who weighs 375
and not the 6'2" guy who weighs 300

shoulders , arms, hands , head and feet are my issues.
sort of a big footed Gorilla

I am not even that big 6'2" 275 I can wear a 44 pants but 46 fit better around my legs apparently the 44 guys like skinny jeans
my head is right about a size 8 for a hat so the one size fits - not me - hats almost never work. found a place online for ball caps and such.
my wife hand knits my stocking hats or the store bought ones slide right up and collect at the top of my head
found a few places that stock 2X gloves but it limits your option a lot

at 6 '9" I bet your uncle does have it rough wearing anything but workout clothing

when you get up in sizes no matter the size they call it you try everything on any where you go because there is no standard
