Beav, what are you going to do with the live beaver on the end of a cable?

You can dispatch a legally caught animal.

We have to remove the beaver alive from the Madison Parks system. It's pretty much a 2 man job with 2 catch poles.
But I use to live trap coyotes cats, coon and fox. Lots of times I would just push the transfer cage up next to the critter and they would go right Into the cage. I'm going to have to try that.

We plan on tanning it and displaying it on the wall that way. But next time he draws a cat tag we will do a full body.

Bear Tracker- He used a regular single dirt hole set with a roughly 6 inch grass tuft backing. Put reuswatt's fatal step for bait in the dirthole and used reuswatt's temptation lure on the grass backing. set the trap roughly 7-8 inches back from the hole with a slight right hand offset. Used a bridger #3 with a birkshire earth anchor. Set location was on the corner of a corn field and a grass ATV trail boardering a fenceline.

Thanks all for the congrats wishes, I will certainly pass them along to one excited youth trapper.

Good job young man.

I caught 14 rats today. Pulled most of the traps and set up the beaver location.
Normally It's good for 2 checks then I'm off to the next job.

That's a beautiful cat. Congratulations!

57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

I had a first yesterday when trapping rats. I've caught fish before In BGs and colony traps. But yesterday I caught a decent sized bull head and a blue gill and a muskrat In the same colony trap. Not sure who got there first. Will see how It goes today.

You should bring your fishing pole next time.
