Have no idea if we even need permits in this county for a pond my buddy builds them and has never mentioned it , Illinois may be communist up state but down here not bad when I built my house in 2001 the only permit I needed was from the health department for septic and it was free

I guess I could bring you a couple flatheads over and put them in. Probably overflow after that. LOL

This is how low our ponds are right now. I have caught a lot of fish where my wife is setting there.

Kinda hard to see how low ours is here, but that pile of rocks in the upper left corner should have 2 or 3 ft of water over it. I figure it's at least 7 ft low.

Very few ponds in Nebraska have water in them. Lack of rain. The Platte River is dry most of the time.
They will be turning a little water loose for the Sandhill cranes will be showing up. Huge tourist attraction here.
