Does anyone eat a teaspoon of raw honey per day ?

Have you noticed any improvements ?

Just picked up this jar ..at a simple honor system road side house.

Figured the TMan tribe would have some answers and bee keepers as well

So let's here it ! [Linked Image]

I have about 100 lb still. I don't eat a bunch that's like a drug dealer using his product. I consume the most during collection and clean up when everything is a sticky mess. When/if I get allergies I did eat a spoon full a day and the problem went away quickly. But I have not had allergies since I started keeping bees? Probably something to that. Between the stings and increased honey consumption.( I eat more than I ever have thought I don't think of it as a lot considering the volume I have.)

Honey is good for you and I have started using some of it and keep an open bottle at work. It doubles as a sample bottle and is good for sales. Once they taste it they buy it.

I am addicted to good local honey. Always looking for new and different sources.

Like a crackhead.

I have over a hundred hives now, but I do not eat honey 4 times a year. I like it but I love working in the bees.

I keep a few hives on my farm. I have noticed a difference in my seasonal allergies. Everything was really dry this year and the honey was really dark. But it has a great flavor. It doesn't get any more local for us than 80yds from the back door.

I had honey customers that purchased honey by the 5-gallon bucket. They swore by a tablespoon am/pm for allergies, but they wanted the complete season honey flow from the hive. Just coarse screened and that's it.

Do you prefer the tall container or the shorter one?

Nessy, You have it right. Raw, unfiltered honey has the properties to kill pathogens , plus all the good nutrients for healing and immune system strength.

Make a hot toddy with that, and it is the best ,too.

I have a spoonful of our own honey in my coffee every day. Still have a couple , hundred pounds in stock. We filter it , but it still has all of the local Bee vitamins it.. Local price was around 17.00 canadian a kilogram. Selling it at a hospital and a dentists office where my daughter works. A great hobby, just picked up another 100 pound of white sugar , to get them through the winter, I hope. old243

I have 18 five gallon buckets in the basement. Over 1000 pounds. I don’t eat honey every day, but I do most days.

Yep, the honey I get from Dad has never been hotter than when it came out of the super.

I have, or at least had huge allergies to birch and grass pollens,

I have been taking a bit of local raw honey in my coffee every morning, and a bit in a shot of shine a couple times per week for the last 20 years.

My allergies are now barely perceptible.
