lubed felt wad under the ball/conical and grease over the ball , all ways to avoid the excitement of chain fire

also tuned nipples so none come off without some effort.

Here is a good video on the pietta. IMO 20 grains is to light for hunting. I have been loading 40 with a volume measure. Accuracy did not suffer. The conicals are just below flush with the cylinder. its a lot less messy to remove the cylinder before capping to apply grease over the bullet. I have used wonder wads as well but with 40 grains you need to compress the load pretty good. I don't have a chroney and suspect 35 grains would hit as hard. Especially at 20-30 yards. It does take a little fiddling to learn how to load the conicals without a loading block but you'll figure it out pretty quick. Some youtube videos on making it easier using a dremel tool on the pistol but is definitely not needed.

Here is another video.

he does well with those , about half those he had cast would go back in the pot for having nose wrinkles and not fully formed bands maybe it is just bad video and the light is weird.
but they look to me like a cold mold

but they are oversized enough it appears to not matter much.
