The coyote are acting like usual here. Had a trail cam setup a couple of weeks ago and have had more pictures of coyote than deer. So I set. They coyote haven't been back since. I guess they're afraid.

I have seen more coyote and fox tracks than deer tracks this week. I really hate wasting $5 per shot on coyotes with the deer rifle. And of course now that bear season is over, the bear came back......and ate the stairs off one of my stands for the second year in a row!

Looks like a nice bear 160, haven't been seeing many deer on the fields now but the woods looks like someone went through with a tiller. Everything is still on the acorns.

We have scattered oaks here so tomorrow when the army goes into the woods it should be a real circus. I plan to go into one of my favorite stands in heavy cover. It is a great stand even in the middle of the day. Now if the 1939 rifle and scope do their part.............But I don't really want to shoot anything, especially back there! Dragging deer in hip boots sucks.

I would much rather skin the skunk than the coyote!
