Heckuva first week of season here in North Missouri.
Killed 213 out of our blind the first 7 mornings.
Haven’t had a season start like this in several years.

Really slowed down this morning.
Cloudy and no wind and warm. My least favorite weather conditions to hunt ducks!

I prefer windy with a bit of snow in the air!

Dense fog this morning, no wind, and warmer than I like.
Them dang teal acted dumb in that fog.
Killed 24 in 80 minutes. All teal but 3.

Doesn’t surprise me one bit. Y’all eat fungus, so it’s no surprise you Mergansers too. Swamp and I are going to have to rent a truck to send y’all some decent food.
Great hunts! I love hearing those divers come buzzing in!! We got nothing but Wood Ducks down here and yeah, they eat good!

I’m fairly sure the big push of birds hasn’t come down thru this part of flyway yet. If it did there were either few or tgey cruised thru primarily in dark and didn’t stop. There was a good number right before sniw storm this past week but if that’s all of them you guys right south of here are in for poor shooting. When I checked weather on James bay last week the temps were about same as here so I’m guessing there’s still number of birds north of me

Waters 45 ish degrees here now. For fall divers we just pick up in the boat and give the dog a break.

Early season the dog gets run a lot

Headed to the blind right shortly.
I’ll try to get you some pictures of a dog with ducks in his mouth lol
Weather is going to suck for awhile for duck killing.

A Chessy will get you dog bit lol
Only been around 3. All were mean as a gar.
Literally all 3 would bite strangers at the drop of a hat.

Are you sending us divers today Hutchy? Cold wind out of east this morning. Bet there are some birds going into Saginaw bay.
