Back in the '50's my stepfather used a souvenir Jap rifle for deer. He couldn't find the 7.7-58 ammo, so he had a box made up.

When he went hunting, he carried one shell.

I don't know I had a customer years ago , he got into prepping , he had money from the business they did well

told me about how he got a few AKs and 20K rounds and a few ARs and 20K rounds and a berretta M9 and 20K rounds
3 years food in buckets
I don't know that he hardly shot any of it or ate any of it

he mostly used his hunting rifle to got shoot some deer

meanwhile at the time I was making it work $ wise with the wife home schooling 3 kids and just my job , I was making cast boolits and shooting about 2-3K rounds a year developing loads and teaching kids to shoot.
I think I learned more developing loads and figuring it out from wheel weights and such
shooting deer and picking up road kill , butchering everything myself
cooking everything from scratch and maintaining a few months food stores in dry goods and freezers and jars of meat.
he had a lot more rounds but they mostly sat.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

If you actually shoot a lot (or think you may at some point have to shoot a lot) and have not been stocking up on ammo and reloading components, you have not been paying attention.

You have a couple of months left, maybe, to fill your cabinets. Same goes for suppressors, gun parts, black rifles and magazines.
