I see threads about the rut which is underway. I get more out of watching the ritual of breeding season than actually hunting. Here are just a couple of pictures the time is here. Add your pictures of the season would like to see them.

Can’t post videos here unless they’re YouTube loaded and then they have to be over a minute long to show up otherwise they’re shorts and folks don’t click on the links so why bother.
With that said, I have a video from the stand of a buck doing that flehmen response or lip curl. He was checking out a doe in the area. That was the first time I’d seen it in real life.
My son shot a deer yesterday evening with another first for me…the buck had apparently just finished breeding a doe when he came in and died with his junk hanging out. I’d never seen that before in my 45yrs of hunting. He was an old buck with a floppy ear.

^ I have seen them breed many times and also do the curled lip. It is nature at its best.
