Always, always, always take the buttstock plate off an old gun. Some stocks have a void there that makes a nifty hiding place that people back in the day used alot.

Nice thats a great handling gun In have a 410 and 16 gauge in model 37's the 12 and 16 have the same frame 20 and 28 gauge same frame and 410 has itsw own smaller frame It should have a serial number on the bottom of the frame also known as semi-hammerless

Would sure be nice to be able to look back and see where it's been/ done.
