Good job They get a little easier once you catch the first one You have a huge head start on me in trying the get the next one compared to how old I was when I got my first. I was getting started to trap muskrats about age10 In those days we did not have coyotes in the area .About 1980's there where a few reports of some being trapped once in a while .Over time I learned of some trappers get some on a regular basis But still no luck for me . I thought I once had one that pulled out but I had no proof of that I was starting to think it was not in the cards for me .But than about 5 years ago I had a nice female as my first one and about 10 days later I caught another about 10 feet from the trap that held my first one . I had the first one tanned and the landowner had a full size mount of the 2nd one Since than I have been able to catch a few more including a couple in cable restraints And one that I was able to catch sold for $125.00 at a Fur Harvesters Auction It had a pale shiny coat and it was a large female That price was by far the most I ever received for an pelt I ever sold So you are just a young man with many seasons ahead of you Make it a great adventure and get after them An may the memories pile up like firewood .And when you are nearer to retirement than being a teenage I hope you are still getting after them .If so than you will have had a good life .
