Another piece of steel to carry around and hope you don't lose it for the next set!

You need to get one of those small, long handled Harbor Freight magnets to keep in your truck and sweep your immediate trap set area to make sure you don't leave something behind. smile They will pick up any metal left behind like screw drivers, pliers etc. or any other ferrous metal objects. That is why I paint all mine a bright color to reduce that possibility.

I also carry several spares if I do leave one behind or drop it. I have left them in the past at a previous set but remembered that I did later on down the road at my next location. Things happen when you are in a hurry. I just pick it up the next day when I get back there again.

Thank you Mr Jameson!!! I just watched your fox trapping DVD a few nights ago! I was also the winner of the Find the Fox in Furtaker magazine a couple months ago and you sent me some lures. My husband and I met you a few years back at the trappers school. I’d like to do that again maybe next year.

Had one 30 years ago, liked it a lot, then lost it. Found it when I pulled traps. It keeps them from firing for weeks. Mike

I can’t wait to try! I think that stomp method Mr Jameson used will really help me bed the traps.
