I have a 20 ga OU and (2) Browning Cynergy 12's... the Mossy Oak Blades is not as elegant but darn cool looking.

I just bought a Winchester 23 Pigeon Grade specifically as a pheasant gun. I am not worried about getting a 3rd shot.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I took Hilary on a date yesterday for Thanksgiving.

started out with a 20 gauge 870 Remington A very nice gun About a dozen years later when Ruger introduced it's Red Label I just had to have one I was told many times that I would not hunt with it because it cost to much I paid about $500/00 for new And at that time that certainly was a lot of money and it still is today .Well I shoot so much better with it That was money well spent It was perfect to carry through the brush and other heavy cover Came to my shoulder in no time and that second quick shot finished what might have been a cripple It saw plenty of action and when the time came to sell it I received more than twice what I paid when I got it new .And you could tell it was in the fields on a regular basis It may have been one of the wisest choices I ever made when it came to buying a gun .Really hated seeing it go.

shoot whatever you shoot the best , it isn't always a double

typically better to make one gun really fit you well.

I think a solid American made pump is a better option than a cheap Turkish OU for similar money.

you can say the safety with doubles I find it makes them complacent so when they have another gun they don't watch their muzzle , not everything is a break or a double.

if I can get excellent muzzle control and open actions of all types from 12 year olds it isn't too much for everyone else.

I expect a high level of muzzle control from everyone

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Well, in all honesty, if a guy flushed three birds I can see the possibility of needing both barrels.

grin I too love the Beretta Silver Pigeon 20 g. A most wonderful shotgun. So fun to shoot skeet and trap with. They made the receiver low so I had no trouble cheeking down and sighting over the top .

really when the third is in the tree, it is pot grouse.

I love my double when field hunting and the wind is blowing fine grasses into the semi's actions and they are all down to single shots.

And costs little to have most wood stocks made adjustable by after market smith. But feel isn’t fit. Feel is handling. Tweaked by weight distribution. Not that pumps or autos can’t be adjusted for distribution as all of mine have been but doubles tend to have advantage here. Off hand only one pro/competitive shooter comes to my mind that often uses an auto.

2). It’s just the history in some countries, sports and hunting styles

Sharon Your taste when it comes to the firearms you own is in the same class as your artistic ability when portraying the many wildlife prints you have done .If I recall you have a Wetherby 300 magnum rifle that you have taken several nice deer with .

Saftey? Bah!

Dick Cheney's O\U Perazzi doesn't bear that out!

I got it with a Ruger Red Label. Took a fair amount of shot on my left side. We were grouse hunting and I assume the guy was shooting 7 1/2s or 8s. Only one pellet penatrated and that one was in the upper earlobe. Popped it out and bled pretty good but it didn't really hurt.

We did OK with both guns. grin

I once owned a 3 inch Winchester 101 over and under with a selector switch. Should have never sold it; wish I hadn't. Finest shotgun I ever owned.

More and more when I go anywhere I find myself keeping track of where the nearest rest room is.

What were they asking for it?
