I have caught a few here. I hate skinning the stinking things. The last one I caught was Top Lot at NAFA for $155 as I recall. I caught it in December and it smelled like it had been living in a skunk den. Rank!

The Badger market appears to be strong, they'll be up substantially in price this year mainly because they're a product of coyote trapping. That's gonna lead to a significant shortage of in demand Badgers.
Is the market strong within the US or to other countries? I always feel like fur isn’t in demand in the US yet the price of tanned furs or products like blankets, etc is still very high.

This was before I had a proper fleshing board. Nightmare.

All the weasels are feisty aren’t they?!? Fisher are especially cuddly and will roll right over to have their belly rubbed on.

They are late to prime up keep that in mind but that’s not always the case I’ve had nice ones in the winter and fair ones in the spring. They leave a lot of sign just look for the dark mound in the highest part of the area.

I generally catch 2 or three while coyote trapping but would like to target them if possible. I have seen more badger activity this fall than ever before and I am assuming it is because we have had an explosion of pocket gophers. Any tips on targeting them specifically would be appreciated. Wish I could help! But I DO know that they used to hunt them with dachshunds!!! Their goofy little short bowed legs helped them dig them out. Wouldn’t recommend it tho!!!! Had to be one tough wiener dog to go after a big brute

Left the home place the other day both fields west of the house had new holes crossed the interstate and new holes on both sides of the road we don’t have any shortage of them here.
