Spot on- Otter sled is the way to go and easy to move a bear by yourself- fills it up like a Jello Mold, we drive right onto the trailer with the ATV. As Pete mentioned- great in the back of the truck when trapping, I made an expanded metal grate for the bottom of the sled- it's elevated 2" so blood can drain and be hosed out later.
I prefer the Smitty Sled I made for ice fishing and trapping- I spaced the skis at the same width of my ATV tires and it never tips as an otter sled can- it's also way easier to pull it by hand than an Otter Sled when there's more snow.

Shot a heavy whitetail in MT once. Drove to town and bought a plastic snow sled to drag him over snow and rock, plus slightly uphill. Never been ice fishing. What do ice fishermen drink?

drink whatever you like but you put the beer in the cooler to keep it from freezing before you to drinking it and no nursing one or it goes to slush on you.

Eagleye......I think iam the only guy in NH that runs those 1970 vintage Beaver Dam Tip ups. I bought them from a guy In Wisconsin ,advertising them on Craig’s list.....all restored too.

They are great if there is little to no snow on the ice. Very low flag .

When the snow is Deep...the tall cross stick traps come out.

I run them Beaver Dams in 2 feet of water ...on shore...for Brookies and rainbows.

when you slip with the spud bar and bust the beaver dam because it was frozen down

they aren't that hard to make new wood

good wood working project when I was 14
