It used to be all horsehide leather by Andy Artoonian of Horseshoe Leather in England. I have some that are over twenty years old, saw daily use and are still in really good shape. Andy retired due to medical issues.
Now it's all Kydex by Vedder Holsters in Florida. I have a few different styles of their holsters but my EDC and favorite is a Light Tuck for a Sig P365X carried AIWB, very comfortable.
Eh...wot?

I love a little cross breed because it uses a great clip for the belt / or garment and suede leather against the skin. I have just enough baby fat left to easily conceal anything inside the waste band.

the K holster they are out of business but not a bad idea I have one and like it I think cross breed out marketed them. when you really sweat is soaks it up your gun gets salt crystals and you have to wipe them off the leather adds a little maintinace the ailien gear doesn't breath the same as the leather did but holds it's shape better , but get swamp size under shirt aka wife beater with a kydex now , not the softest on the skin but the cotton shirt barrier helps a bit amd it has less overall surface contact so one little sweaty spot that the cotton mostly takes care of vs a large soft well padded swamp side
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Leather, kydex, leather lined kidex, all three. Depends on the use.
Oops, failed to read on my part. Kydex/leather hybrid, though leather is still a great way to go.
