I took her on the trap line the first day, she had trouble getting back on the ATV, off the truck, and back on the truck, she can't hear me unless I yell.
She sure saw a lot of coyote, a cat or two, did a great job, she wants to go bad, but she can't do it.
She's now 14+ years old, my first dorn dog lost her hips at 10 years old

Its tough to see dogs get old. They still want to go, but their body just can't do it.

Let her enjoy what she can.

My beagle lost so much muscle mass toward the end because of kidney failure. He had an iron will tho and still wanted to run and do things. Was even eating despite his condition, finally had to euthanize him because of neurologic failures; small seizures and passing out.
Make every day enjoyable for her. She just needs extra help and patience!
I’ve lost four pets this year and have a bad diagnosis on another one. I do hope 2024 is better.

Tough to see this it’s a good time to train a replacement and let her enjoy her remaining time in comfort.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

It's hilly here, compared to the Webster City area, north Central Iowa

She keeps begging to go, ya I guess I'll see what I can find, it's a bummer O'Gorman doesn't have dorn dogs anymore
