Love seeing the shots of hats . This beaver hat was made from a nice college kid years ago . He used to be on the forum here. Dont know what happened to him. He was making nice hats out of different fur he caught to help his expenses in college. This hat is the warmest I could have , for the coldest temps on earth, if needed. This is a crystal fox halo hat, that my friend Judy Comstock made and sells at the NTA's. Being a halo hat, with no top crown , it is a beautiful casual dress hat for cool rooms or outside. The colours in it are wonderful, and the red fur areas match my hair well. Shown here , wearing my custom made plucked and sheared beaver coat, with my horse riding friend in her shearling lambs wool . My most prized hat I'll evah have. Marten , custom picked hides and designed by me. Caught by T4Ever , an amazing trapper in S.E. Alaska. Every hide is a different colour, with the orange hide in back, to accent the three glossy dark tails. People say he traps among the nicest marten they've ever seen. Temple , also in Alaska , built it just right to my specs. This is not a hat I wear out in rough weather or working. This is for best dressed winter events, casual wear. It is too nice to risk tearing up working out in the cold doing work. The flaps are two toned on the top and bottoms, depending on if they are down or tied up. The tassels are made using the lovely orange bling from the throat patches. I couldn't stand to let those bright oranges and yellows go to waste.

Is there a good book out there that anyone would recommend for fur sewing projects? Coon ear warmer I made for my daughter (not her in the pic, lol).

Amazing hats one and all. I greet and open the door at church a couple Sunday's a month so I always wear a different fur hat during the cold weather season. Very well received by all the patrons. Lots of questions as to what type of fur and who made them which I always gladly answer.

Very nice hats all. Flipper, that badger hat looks incredible!. Sharron, that Marten hat looks great. Also, you have beautiful red hair.
