If she comes by next day and turd is gone or moved AND dirt is new or dirt hole is dug don't you think she knows it?? Like if I came and moved your sofa? LoL! I have learned = treat all coyotes like = female killers. That your job depends on. That way. The easy ones are super easy. And IF a smart 1 comes by first ? You still catch her

I used to collect coyote turds regularly and use when making new sets. For past several years I haven't done that. It didn't seem to be productive.

But, when I do see fresh coyote turds, I make a set using those...at same location....same micro-location.

Now, bobcat turds: I collect those when found fresh and from last several inches of skint bcat's colons. Bobcats respond very good to any bobcat scat..including their own. Coyotes readily respond to bcat turd sets, too.

A good lure can be made by collecting coyote turds, adding glycerin to make a paste, and then add your favorite coyote gland lure. Can do same thing with bcat scat.

I was hauling butt down a two track the other day in the buggy.

Saw this magnificent turd in between the wheel tracks. Just a monster, jet black, beautiful.

I locked up the brakes, darn near put the mutt through the windshield, and came to a sideways screeching halt.
























Turns out it was an eight inch chunk of black rubber water hose. But I still got excited.

Ive used turds for years as the backing and the attractor the truest scent post there is.
Bad dumb or indiffrent they work on coyotes male female pup or adult

As far as bounceing a female because you picked up a turd she left
Theres alot of other factors id worry about

Turds go missing for a multitude of reasons pack rats mice cattle etc

Show me a way you can not leave one trace of human odor at a set location and i might buy a female bounces because of turd burgalers

I set where turds are. The only place I pick up turds is someone else’s property. I figure a coyote or cats turd from a hole different area would create a territorial response and I’ve caught both coyotes and cats on them. Any turd on my property stays right there and a trap is placed next to it or as close as I can get it.

Im probably guilty of giving coyotes more the credit than they deserve, but I’ve seen them do some things.

If I’ve got an individual so touchy that moving her turd is going to shut her down, odds are me physically being there has already done that and I’m already going to have to get sneaky.

I'm still not going to pick them up. Till latter ! LoL! I don't see pack rats or stuff toting them off. See them all the time in West Texas. Turned white with time.

I add glycerin and urine in roughly equal amounts until I get a consistency like Adams peanut butter. The glycerin makes it stay moist and fresh much longer, plus it keeps it from freezing until it is very cold. I store spare tubs of this "pudding" in the freezer and while they will have frost crystals on them when you take them out, but it is still pliable enough to dig out with a stick. With this pudding you can easily smear a glob on a tree, rock, or wherever you want it and have it stick. I add gland lure at the set instead of mixing it in like many do, this way I can choose which gland lure I want, or if I want one at all.

I got lucky. Found a old bobcat toilet today. Picked up all the turds Will use the turds on ranch in West/Central Texas

SIL came over this afternoon and I was out building some earth anchors

He spied the bin of coyote turds and asked "what the heck is up with this?"
I explained how you use them at sets and he said that made a lot of sense. Gonna have to take him with me to run and set traps
