I think mine is the same one as yours. 2 years and still working.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

I've burned out three over the years. I've always considered them to be a novelty. What they cost vs what they do isn't worth buying a new one every two or three years.

Is it the bearing or the motor that burned out?

If it's the bearing you might resuscitate it by drilling a small hole in the bearing housing, if there is one, and soaking it in a penetrating oil....

I've got the same fan, had the same issue occur last year. You can try heat sink paste also called CPO grease or Thermal paste. Go to YouTube, type in DIY woodstove fan repair, it will show you better than I can explain. Easy 5-10 minute solution and my fan is still cranking. Hope this helps.

Give it a shot of wd 40. If it is just the bearing. Dried out. There is a lot of dust m passing through it. I went to a cheap plastic fan sitting on the floor behind the stove and another on a shelf behind stove. Cheaper than one inside the stove. old243

My stove runs all winter and I have never had one last more than 2-3 seasons. The first one I fixed by checking on line and lubing or something, can’t remember exactly, except that it ran slower and only for a month or two. They are marginally worth it when running 100% as they don’t move a ton of air. $20-$30, sure but over $100, not near worth it IMO.

Man I hate those things. I have two that unfortunately still work. But it is pretty obvious that the blades are not balanced and the bearing or bushing is worn or crappy to begin with.
Invariably, they will make a slight noise at some low speed during the night and wake me up.

I have never owned one of those, but recently I saw one on sale for Black Friday, half price, and ordered it. It has four blades rather than two and decent reviews. Ill see how it does. I do like the concept of not needing power to work , activating itself with heat alone.

I too have a real hard time with noise. So I'm hoping it stays quiet.

I forgot about that! That’s what all of mine did for a couple months before they shot craps. Not a loud noise, but a different noise, different enough to wake me up.

Just looked at mine
Ecofan
They were the originators.
Not made in China
I think made in Canada
One is 17 years old and new one in the House
It does not move as much air as a noisy one, but we live

All of mine were the Ecofan made in Canada, two blade. They did fall off the stove a few times when loading (top loader) maybe that shortened the life span.
