Do yourself a favor and start keeping a log now of set, location, lure, bait and catches.
It is helping me figure out what combinations seem to work better.

There are foxes in my part of the country but the only one I have ever seen around my place was a red male that I killed in the chicken house one evening right after dark.

An incredibly good trapper taught me some of the ropes, I wished I’d retained more.

As good as he was at trapping and as sharp as his mind was he always kept a little note pad in his pocket and used it a lot. You may want to get in the same habit, detail what you do, what you use, timing, weather, results…just takes a minute. you may be surprised at the trends that suddenly jump out at you when you go thru those notes every now and again.

Congratulations , I know it was already said but the hardest one to catch is the first one . I think a lot of people try to hard and over think it . Good luck on the rest of the season . I hope you have to built a new fur shed for all your catches .
