There are PLENTY of coyote in Alabama. I caught 300 plus a year for last 15 years or so Just NO money in the fur! 50 center to 7 dollars. That it Top end is 7 dollars. You can work high fence and deer clubs about 9 months out of the year. You can charge. Or I did 300 a day. Just did 21 to 30 day contracts and move to next place. The state has deer from restocking from = 14 different states ! So fawns drop from April to August. I HAD all the big places in Alabama on lock down! LoL ! Just got tired of wet rainy weather And come to Texas to work

Swampy gets paid to kill beaver. Groeny is just icing on the cake.

I am always amazed at the pictures showing a marten hanging by the foot in a 1.5 long spring on a leaning pole set. And people trying to say that it is acceptable in this day and age with the traps we have available.

I'm not sure you're understanding the real issue. It's not about humaneness, it's about banning fur entirely. Otherwise why would they be banning instant kill traps which by definition are humane. They don't object to killing it if it's bothering you or you just don't like having the critter around, they object to using fur, period. That's current law in Colorado.

I may be mis-remembering but it seems to me this all got started by the fur ranchers in Europe because they couldn't compete with wild fur from the New World.

The information I found on this years ago was that the wacko's started it, but the Eurotrash mink farmers got on board to protect their market. The farmers were hurting due to the fur crash after the stock market crash of 1987. The standards, according to Boco, came from standards the Ontarians created prior to the EC/EU market protection scheme.

I think the clue to the mink farmers participation is that mink were not on the ban list.
