They look like miniature anti tank rounds lol. I could see those cast pills being a good alternative for a sub sonic 300BLK loading.

Actually that's something I'm looking at doing soon. .300blk is actually a pretty beloved caliber in the cast bullet community due to the small case capacity the host of .30 cal bullets it can shoot at low velocity. There a fella over in Europe ,gamesek over on cast boolits, who does a lot with .300blk and cast bullets, think he uses close to pure let or a really soft alloy and this is what he's getting out of a Ruger American in .300blk

Had one guy asking me about come cast Mosin stuff and his name kinda rang a bell, checked his page and yeeeppp guy was saying bigger name in the black powder cartridge world like award winning type guy and here he was asking lil ole me for advice, brought that up and he just kinda said I seemed to know what I was doing so he figured he'd ask

But the amount of guys in the cast / reloading community who do nothing but complainHalf the time I just think their incapable of doing much past reading and following instructions because if you ask them to explain something in a way other then verbatim from a book half of them can't . Had asked a simple question about getting bullet rings on my noses while seating and spend the next two days with some guy dragging me in the comments talking about how great he was because he learned everything from books how he didn't have the Internet 40yrs ago , how he could " actually problem solve" how I probably couldn't do XYZ yadda yadda. Proceed to ask for my load when I posted a pic of my group though and refused to post any of his and looped around with a bunch of name calling saying he was just blunt and how he thought it would just help me remember. Never actually gave me advice,never gave me a book recommendation just Im konda rambling but the point is i never want to be like that. NEVER because all the great teachers I've had who actually left an impact on me where the exact opposite!

Lookin good wolfie I gave up casting bullets in the middle 70's cause you could buy a box of 500 or 1000 cheaper then you could scrounge lead and cast then i gave up reloading cause i didn't shoot as much (married/kids) and ammo was cheap and shot well actually bought 10 boxes of 30-30 bout 4 years ago @7.50/box All past now and i doubt its coming back Just recieved an order of Ginex large rifle primers from Republic ammunition so i'll be cranking out cast 45/70's this winter
NO i haven't tried the primers yet only fact is with hazmat and shipping they're still alot less then anything else

In the 30-06 I am going the other way at the moment and have just an hour ago loaded up some mono copper bullets in 130 grain flavor to go the speedy route. Using CFE223 powder under 130 Barnes TSX
The Nosler Partition has been my go to for the 06 and the 308 for years and I just want to try something different because ......... well because I can
