So a good friend of mine I've been hunting and trapping with decided he wanted to get a wall tent. After a bunch of research from the both of us he chose a 10x12 with a burner from the wall tent shop. We've went out in it a few times. We spent one night at 22°F but the burner kept it around 65 in the tent.
During PA bear rifle we stayed in it out on the mountain from the Thursday before until that Tuesday and went trapping and bear hunting. We didn't have much luck but it was a great time

I rand 19 traps total around the area which was way under my total goal of 48 but I fell sick while we we're there and barely had the energy to run what I had. My friend ran 9 total. I was trying to get him set up to atleast get a few coons because this is his first year trapping but neither of us bought anything. Then we spoke with an older fella that had a cabin nearby and he told us we was wasting time out there running traps. He said him and a friend ran 116 traps for 2 weeks last year and only cought 2 coon the whole time.
I don't get it there we're tons if coon sign out there and the coyotes were howling every evening

I have spent many a night in a wall tent like that one but a bigger one. It was always fun for the first 3 or 4 days and nights than it got kind of old.

Have fun.

I like the looks of that tent

I was looking at the wall tent shops options

do you find that a good size to get 2 cots in with the stove and a table to cook at? or would you go bigger ? the guy who owns the tent shop said allow 7 feet for the stove that makes me think a 14 foot tent with the cot also 7 feet

I've got a 12x14 wall tent. Works very well for my dad and I when we hunt. Heater and table and 2 cots. Plenty of room to move around still.

^ The bigger the bettah. By the time you get cots, gear, food and essentials for a week to 10 days stay you need room, all the room you can get.

That is kinda what I was thinking. I've never known anyone whose garage, fur shed, etc. was too big. You can always use more room.

As long as you have a big enough flat area to set it. I've went to a 16' Bell style tent. That single pole in the center is a lot easier to set up by yourself or even with a helper.

Mine is a 14x14 girl scout tent, yes still has the logo! U can fit 4 cots, wood stove and metal job box for a table and storage in it with extra room. It all depends on the people in it, do they just throw stuff all over? I use plastic totes for gear, they go under your cot. Get hooks for the internal frame, hang guns on then along walls.
3 of us stayed in 12x14 on colorado elk hunt. Propane stove no table and it was cramped. Other 2 guys left boots in walkway, never put totes under cot, a big army bag laying on ground. Army bag guy thought mice wouldnt smell through plastic bag his trail mix was in. Found big mouse nest in stuff.

how is the setup ?

last wall tents I slept in were 8x8 USGI in boy scouts definitely not one person setup and we had no stoves or heat
basically room for 2 cots one on each side store your gear under and there was about a 3 foot center isle

I was just looking at the 14x14 spike wall tent , it looks very interesting I don't know what I would not have a second person to help setup but then again finding myself doing things alone happens.
