Back in the late seventies or very early eighties, I had a toy camper like that, in similar colors. I may still have it in a box somewhere.

I have a 79. Love it. Trapping and fishing camper. It has gotten me where I need to go at 60 miles and hour.

Praise the Lord and Pass the ammunition.

It doesn’t make sense but they seem to keep going and going. Well done!

Drove a few of them through the rocky mountains. A LOT of downshifting.

We had one, only complaint was lack of power. Ours had the v6, even on flat ground and no wind aerodynamics wouldn’t allow 60mph in overdrive. It would downshift get back up to 60, downshift. I drove it in 3rd gear most of the time. I don’t know how the 4cyl were, but a 22r isn’t exactly over
Powerful in a pickup.

We have always wanted a little RV or camper so we could take the pets along on trips. But we realized we don’t want to go anywhere!
When you gonna open those drinks?!

If you do power wash it I would be sure and spray down rather than up. Large step ladder would help with that. If you spray up, water will get in behind siding and be trapped for a long time. Scrub brush and a bucket might be better. Either way, I’d run a dehumidifier inside for a day or so after cleaning outside. Water in walls/ceiling is the #1 enemy of old campers imo.

Hope it cleans up good and makes you a decent rig

As for the roof remember " Through The Roof " is some wonderful stuff if it leaks it can be applied in a rain storm and it will still seal things up ! Just don't get it on any cloths that you like .

I had a Isuzu P'Up (Chevy S-10) with a four cylinder diesel engine in it back in the early eighties. I think I paid around $5,000 for it new. Most gutless little truck you ever saw. Two of our average framed members sitting in the bed would max out its freight capability. It got around forty miles a gallon. I hated it at the time but I'd love to have another. I didn't know it then but they were quite rare.

I hunted with a few guys who had those Isuzu diesels, their tongue started hanging out when they seen a hill coming, and they were lower than a snakes belly, would high center on anything. But they did get good gas mileage, and the motors lasted. They were a Chevy Luv though, not an S-10

Price was right.
You're not out much if it turns into a bigger project than it's worth.
If not you'll have a cool little machine for hunting, fishing, trapping, etc

That is indeed the rig. And you're correct about the Luv. The S-10 followed the Luv.
