No rain or snow up here,the last two days we've lost 70% of our snow,heading out shortly I will pull some more sets today.I'll keep 4 cat locations out within 5 miles from home,wasn't planning on catching 5 cats,but it might happen,I want the BIG TRACK cat and the other locations the cats are due back within a few days.If I can get around quick enough today I might take in a hockey game this early afternoon,good luck out there.

One thing I'm sure of is You'll run if you have to to get it all done.

Good that you are checking your marten traps every day.Marten taint very quickly in warmer temps.

The big track cat hasn't came back yet,pulled more sets today will pull all of the marten boxes tomorrow,picked up a marten in a cat set this afternoon.Cleaning up and heading into town for the hockey game.Caught 1 rabbit,1 flying squirrel and 1 red squirrel also,one coyote refusal it didn't want to crawl under a stick in a beaver run,set more for cats any ways re made 3 coyote dirt sets crusted snow over the top of the waxed dirt,there ready again.I have 7 coyote sets out.

Not a cat or anything else to do with thread but finally connected this morning with a big female coyote. I thought I maybe forgot how to do this.

Back home from the hockey game Warroad won,get the marten skinned so it will be ready for Tue registration,I'll do my cats later,have a good night.One more night for marten/fisher good luck to all the trapper's that have some sets out.I'll leave a few cat locations out for awhile yet,might as well try to get my 5 this year even though that wasn't the plan.

Well dad checked blank traps again today, pulled a couple sets that were further down the line, has five sets out so maybe his marten will be waiting for him in the morning. He said there was 1-1/2” of snow up the hill this morning and not much at all for tracks other than wolf

We had a little snow this morning (most of it melted today) and I saw 2 deer tracks and squirrels. That was it. The fisher and Marten will move Monday when it is safe.

Yesterdays marten was a young female todays was an adult male about 4 miles apart.Today's was drk brn.

Took my sons marten trapping this year. We had no idea of the territory before we came up 4 hours north. We picked spots that looked what we thought was good. Destination trapping weekend as a family. We were rewarded with our first marten ever. So happy for my boys.

Fantastic! Nothing beats the smile from a first time catch. I love to see parents and kids out trapping together.

Well, we filled our 8 marten tags yesterday and pulled all the marten/fisher sets.
Today we caught another beaver, a couple rats, and four grouse.
Pulled everything today and the guys will be headed home in the morning.
Another fantastic year.
