Jim,I always enjoy you posting on this thread,nice to follow along each year as the younger lads grew into young men,thank's again for sharing.How long has it been since the first year you guys got together 5,6 years?

Nice work getting the kids on a trapping trip, even better having success on your first try, something that could turn into a great tradition! They look very happy, guessing you look the same behind the camera.

Yep,thats a good one,did you look at the teeth to age him ?He'll go 2X this year that might be a $50 bill,8 to 10 years ago that 2X Brn would have brought $160 to $180 maybe even a bit more.

Eggs and a little bacon,Merl will be here by 8:30 then off we go to pick up some fur,hopefully Big track and a coyote,hard to think the weasel boxes haven't caught anything yet,but a shrew yesterday.

Marten and fisher season is over for another year at 11:59pm ,pulled the 11 boxes we had out,Merl and myself pulled about 70% of the line,I left 4 bobcat locations set.Merl and myself picked up 2 marten and 3 weasel no cat sign today,big track has not been back since Monday so he's due back.I hope I get him before another cat,the next bobcat will be #100 so I sure hope it's him.Scott I wish these marten would have been caught when you were up here,I think all that hanging snow on the under growth had something to do with there lack of movement.If thing's work out I will try to catch the last 2 cats for a full limit plus Scott's the goal is 5 cats and 2 marten.Overall it's been a great season to chase these wonderful critters and spend time with trapping friends.

Good luck on your cat set's,last day fur is always nice.All I want for Christmas is Mr.Big track #100 and one more cat after that for my 5 cat limit,haven't tried for that for close to 10 year's.When the cat prices were $100 to $450 for good northern cats I made sure to get my 5 every year,if I remember right I did it for 8 or 9 years.In the last 7 years I try to catch 1 to 3 each year,last year was the first time ever I didn't set a bobcat or marten sets so the 20 some year stretch was over last year.

Yes it was,but when I went out to start my truck this morning it was dead,tried jumping it,nothing I think the starter went out.I will have to get one tomorrow,I hope that's what's wrong with it.
