I can't believe how much attention this has gotten nationally. Not a big deal here.
These people don't really believe in anything, they just like to stir the pot.
Bottom line is, they have a first amendment right to the display, just like anybody else.
There are better things to worry about.

That would be up to them. No concern of mine.

It's amusing, and dangerous, the way these believers in nothing go out of their way to offend those who believe in something they say does not exist.

If you ever needed proof positive for His existence there it is.

You are painting with a merry broad brush there buddy. And how is that proof of the existence of any form of diety ??

Those folks are just pot stirrers IMHO .... not atheists. As an atheist does not believe in any form of invisible friend or foe. In short.

Let's go Brandon

"Shall not comply" with morons who don't understand "shall not infringe."

Because I don't fit in that box that you nailed together and I am what you call an atheist.

This is another example of supposed supporters of freedom who only support their concept of freedom.

Satanists, Atheists, Wiccans, etc get to believe whatever they want and get a spot just like everyone else.

Correct. Atheists just believe in one less god than religious people do. 4,000+ "Gods" around the world. We believe in none of them.

Humankind has for all of recorded history attributed what humankind does not understood to a deity of some sort. As science advanced, the use of deities as an explanation has diminished, but great mysteries still abound.

Freedom, including the 1st amendment, includes doing stuff you don't agree with.

Yes, great mysteries abound but that just means we still have things to learn. It doesn't mean "God did it". That's what a lot of religious people say when we can't explain something. It's perfectly O.K. to say "we don't know" instead of relying on a fairy tale.

Are you retarded? Serious question.

1A nor any of the basic ten bill of requires anyone to do anything they don't agree with. It gives YOU the right to do or say something I don't agree with, like being retarded. And I got the right to call you retarded for it.

Probably, yeah, but I don't see what that has to do with comprehending the idea that your freedom to to what you want means other people are free to do what they want.

In regards to the subject at hand, if you're allowed to display your religion in a public space, other people are allowed to display theirs.

Whoa! Easy there friend. Pretty sure you misunderstood or misread that post. Add the implied "others" in there and it reads: "Freedom, including the 1st amendment, includes [others] doing stuff you don't agree with."

Exactly so! The human race may never have the intellect to solve every mystery, but that is not a valid reason to attribute the answer to a deity. Saying "we just don't know" is apparently more uncomfortable for some than for others, and so they go the deity path. It is a way of protecting the mind from the abyss of pondering that which cannot be understood. I have no desire to deny them the comfort they get from their beliefs, the problem comes when they seek to demean those who don't believe the same things.

It also stops the learning process. If they think "god" must have did it if we don't have answers to something then they have no reason to find out the ACTUAL REAL answer. Progress is halted.
