The weathers been nice very nice up until now. I put out baited cubbies the other day on both sides of the river with a few game cams. They talked about rain the other day then boom now they are talking 4-14 inches of snow. mad if we get the 14 inches of snow I might be sitting here for a week since my neighbor is out of town for another week and I’m babysitting his critters. He’s got the skid steer to open my road.

Let’s hope it swings east of me they could use it. A good time to work on projects now.

My wife is from the Chamberlain area. We were supposed to be down there for Christmas but she has to be back for work next week and it looks like the storm might linger. Stay safe

It’s real wet snow now I shoveled the front deck 3 times today not really crazy but if it does freeze up then it’s a game changer they are talking 30+ mph winds so no drifting yet but the ice would be dangerous if you need updates just PM me.

The weather wizards say it will start here in a couple of hours. Will be staying till Wednesday AM.
Wish I would have had a job that one could predict 3" - 14" and no one questioned it. The last 30 years we worked in tolerances of .0001"
and finer dimensions.

6-10 for us, have had a lot of rain so far. Lot of unpredictability with this one so curious to see what we eventually end up with.

Worse case is it freezes what we have then the next batch is powder snow, out here just a few inches can be a big problem with it being open and high winds. 12-18 inches cars/houses get buried and interstates close for days then.

Exactly. We drive to Aberdeen area every year for “the Christmas run” on pheasants. Have driven through some crazy stuff over the years on this run. Always the worst when the wet freezes and powdery snow piles on top. Heading that way tomorrow unless the interstate is closed.

Brother in law took a granddaughter from Sioux Falls to Rapid City yesterday he said West side of the state roads were bad East side was good. Now that could change with a little snow along with these winds today.

I like the safe travel Hwy cams to see the road conditions for myself.

We've been getting hit with rain. 2+ inches so far with another possible 2 inches more before it's all said and done. Rain mixed with a little snow tomorrow.
At least you don't have to shovel rain!

Wife: That's the 4th time you've gone back for dessert, doesn't that embarrass you? Me: No, I keep telling them it's for you.

Hopefully it’ll soak in for y’all. We’ve been drier than normal and ours doesn’t last long before we’re kicking up dust again. We’ve got some decent amounts here lately, but not enough to even start filling up the wet weather holes. Mud puddles don’t last more than a few days either.

How’s it going there Law Dog? I see you are still under a blizzard warning.
The rain just ended here, and it’s 55 degrees.

Stay safe and keep the fire stoked. 45 to 50 mph winds are no joke!
