Funny you bring this subject up, because I have been thinking about exactly this subject for the past week. I do not understand how or why these trappers reconcile this obvious contradiction in their heads. Maybe they don't reconcile the obvious contradiction, and they just go about their business like a chameleon. It is strange, unsettling, sometimes infuriating. And watch out when they get any kind of power in any of the related associations.

People have principles, often grounded in Biblical and constitutional values, and their decisions and actions flow from those principles. When they see behavior and thinking that does not flow from those principles, or even from any principles, they engage in their First Amendment right to have a discussion. I am unafraid to have any discussion with anyone about politics, religion etc because my principles are the same as America's founding principles. I am amazed at how every single liberal/leftist/communist/ Stalinist/ fascist I know cannot bring themselves to have any kind of a discussion about anything except the Steelers-Eagles game. It is as if they have no confidence in their own ideas, no principles, and do not want to hear any information contrary to what they want to think. This is a quintessentially American discussion, because America is a constitutional republic that requires We, The People to stay engaged all the time. Or, if we disengage, and hide from debate, we will lose the country.

James has a point. While Trump is clearly a better choice than biden, let's not pretend that Trump is some moral giant.

Trump is not a traitor. I would not want to be married to him, although I was mighty impressed a guy his age was being ...entertained ... by Rusty Nails or whatever her stage name was. Trump is now a martyr, and for tens of millions of us Americans, it's either Trump 2024 or the entire republic is gone without any chance of resuscitating it.

I'm not voting for him to be my best friend.

I'm voting for him for 2 main reasons:

1. I agree with most of his policies (although he spends too much money, too)
B. he truly DOES love America and he fights for it; doesn't try to "fundamentally change" it.

I am neither Republican nor Democrat. Neither leading candidate is of good moral character. I dislike both. But our country cannot withstand four more years of Biden. I'll vote for anyone but him.
