I have a reaction to tick bites they often last for months but I have one that just won’t heal it’s been there since last May. It looked like a tiny bullet hole about as round as 14 ga wire in circle the size of a pen cap. It scabs over but never heals completely it’s reduced in size by half maybe but never goes away.
Anybody else deal with such a thing?

Yes. Seems it happens often to me as well. Get a partially embedded one or even a freshly attached one and it seems that a couple months minimum until the scab disappears. Sometimes 6 months or longer too.

Go to the doctor Or man up, sharpen a pocket knife to a razor edge, sterilize it, find a stick to bite and do a little exploratory surgery Every time I have had something that would not heal it was because there was something in there keeping it irritated

I dig them out often but this one’s a no go tried several times I used my sliver pin several times I just find the hole and it starts all over again. It’s not tender or oozing just a crusty scab.

Not tick bites, but I took forever healing some ant bites under my shirt this summer. Never got infected- just took about 5 weeks to finally heal.

I had something like that on my shoulder. Turned out to be cancer. I did the stick/sharp knife method and had it cut out. Good as new, now. Lol

I had a tick bite in my ear lobe that periodically would swell up with puss. It lasted about 15 years.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Anybody else deal with such a thing? I have a small hole in my side right now Im dealing with from a tick from two weeks ago.Not near as big as yours though. Also have a scar on my chest from one from over a year ago.Remove tick then flush good with alcohol. Then antibiotic ointment and a bandaid.Keeping a bandaid on helps the ointment heal and also keeps you from scratching at the bite.Wont hurt to talk to your doctor about some Doxycycline also.Any other cuts or wounds heal up quickly on me.Just something about them tick bites.

Lol I had something like that below my eye, sore that kept scabbing over. Turned out to be basal cell carcinoma. Had it removed by a dermatologist. No problem since.

I have one of those on the left cheek of my butt. I can't see it well enough to get at it to do serious digging, or I would dig out whatever is in there. It has bugged me now for about a year and a half. It will almost heal and then get irritated and itchy all over again. I'm sure it is an imbedded tick or tick head. I have tried the knife tip but can't see and manipulate enough to get it done. Girlfriend doesn't want to operate on it either.
I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!
