Lugnut That is what I am trying to say Yes pheasant hunting was a big deal for the many that hunted But it also became a part of the community Fire halls and other groups had fund raising events planned around the opening day of the pheasant season So in some case there where more hunters than we wanted to be around It was a day unlike any other during the year As you mentioned the local prison found a way to be involved with it being opening day It was more than a hunting day for most people during those wonderful times I think most of us saw a future that would be us carrying on the tradition of hunting pheasants the way we learned to hunt them And as we went about doing what we had done before the pheasant disappeared right in front of own eyes without even being aware that it was happening Now those that found a way to still be bird hunters continue to keep it alive like many do still make time to carry on the tradition of bird hunting And I think of the song titled Long May you Run by Neil Young

He got to try out his new hunting vest from Santa, the other picture of the spurs from a couple old birds. Definitely not pen raised.
