Light dusting of snow here but not enough for tracking. Helped put sausage in the smoke house and waiting for it to get light enough to check traps. A bit windy but crisp enough that it shouldn't be too bad for smoking but time will tell. Always look forward to this time of year but will be glad when it's all done.

Guided, was tough getting into position but finally managed to make it happen. European mount and tanning the hide. Beautiful, thick winter hide should look good on the back of my couch.

All quite today,wolf tracks a couple coyote and fox tracks,maybe tonight I will get one or two,have a great rest of the day.I bet I will catch some fur next year,lol.

Abe got his first otter last week I don’t think he has much more to go. A fisher and a badger I think is it and he’s only 11. Fun stuff

Didn't make it to midnight,Happy New Year everyone,up to pee,going back to bed for a couple of hours.May there be a cat waiting for you guy's,a good way to start out a new year!

I am planning on heading out later this morning to check a cat bait for activity now that the dogs are gone and hike back into a big beaver flowage and try to get a half dozen fresh beaver sets out.

Grouse hunters have today also then quiet in the woods.
