Won't get any colder than the huge old Cast iron tub that was in a house I rented when I was 20
When its warned up it stayed hot. I believe I would prefer something with sloped back like that tub to the strait backed with with a stock tank unless your going to put beach chairs in the tank to sit on.

I would likely drop the cash on a sunk in tub with jets big enough for two comfortably. Always nice to have room for your back washer. They also have room on the side for candles. Hmmm I have not been home in 9 days, wonder what's on my mind :0

Well if he looks outside and sees you in Beth's place and outfit I'm sure he would have a change of heart and join you. Need to work on your negotiation skills.

I always wanted to get one of the poly ones put it on some pallets out in the yard by the garden and when I get hot working in the garden have it as a cool down pool

I don't want a real pool , I used to clean pools I am over pool maintenance for the rest of my life.

so pull the pug and drain it every few days then toss the hose in to fill it back up let it set in the sun to warm up add cold as needed

I never got around to it as the size I wanted 100 or 110 gallon was a hundred dollars they are still actually a hundred dollars which means they are about 50-60 of those 2004 dollars which I would have spent.
the issues with being cheap.

I went in the house and took a cold shower

That's not new. Saw a guy drinking Jack Daniels in a stocktank filled with water and blocks of ice at a block party in Longmont, CO back in the 90s.

Wife and I will probably be going that route this Summer. Will need a small table where we can make Margaritas, though.

An m67 immersion heater in a trash can and a sump pump controlled by a mercury switch made for the finest field shower in all of Southwest Asia back in '91.

It's fashionable and trendy now but I remember a bunk house that is all we had back in the day. It wasn't what Yellowstone makes a bunkhouse to be either. The wind mill was the only power out that way except for horse power and we had lots of that.

Back in the day, we had a saying for things like that. Poor people have poor ways. At the time we didnt realize what rich lives we were livin...

Still see that on some of the old farms around here.

There's an old cast iron bath tub buried in a spring creek next to my property in what used to be cow pasture.

Eh...wot?
