Like Johnny Thorpes book, he says he’ll never guess how many beaver are in a pond again. His bud says he found beaver central, bring in all your gear. Johnny looks and says there’s 2 in there tops. Guy pulls out 9….lol.

Paul, just wondering what scent you used? My choice for that type of set would be Woodchipper rather than a castor based. I've had good luck with Woodchipper when beaver were castor-shy.
The first bottles of Coca Cola contained 3.5 grams of cocaine. That's how our grandparents were able to walk to school uphill both ways in the snow.

The set that caught the young one was Backbreaker, and the other one was Beaver Plus. I'm reserving Woodchipper just in case.

Today I got the adult male in the same snare that held the female yesterday. The other snare was hanging just like I left it. It's supposed to start raining early tomorrow and drop around 4 inches by Tuesday. So I didn't reset the snare and I pulled the other one down. I'll go back Thursday or Friday and see if there's any more sign. I got a little worried when I pulled this one up on the bank. The castor area looked a bit flat and I thought about what Jtrapper said about there being multiple adult females in a colony. I had run into that many times but was hopeful that this wasn't one of those times. Upon opening it up, I found a penis and a very small set of castors. Yippee!!! ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2024/01/full-3-202942-male.jpg)

Can't use a gun in the city. This site is not where folks travel. It's basically a swamp with thick vegetation.

Looks like you've got some nasty weather coming to contend with. Good luck.
