Just putting up my catch of coon and decided to render down some fat to use as a paste type lure for coon or k9s. I was thinking of some shellfish oil or something along that line. Any tips or insight would appreciated.

There are much better, more attractive fats to render for bait or lure bases. Skunk, beaver, horse, beef ect. Id personally would use coon fat as a last resort. Im sure if you put enough other ingredients with it, it might be ok. But I would try to go another route. Hope others have some suggestions.
