drop a 3 inch magnum turkey load in that 12ga and you will never want to shoot it again it will shake your fillings loose

my son bought one of those rossi 12ga even lighter than that it had the plastic stocks , abusive recoil because it only weighed like 3 pounds

wasn't bad with trap load

not saying you can't but I am wondering how much drop you have at 200 yards with a 22lr?

If your zero is 100 yards,,,you must be holding about three feet high to hit that pop can at 200 yards.

Have a henry that is as good as any have ever shot shot. Most trouble with accuracy isn't the gun but the operator.

Hence my earlier
grin, without the time to do the figuring online I was wondering what his MOA setting on his scope was for 240 yards…. Not that it can’t be done, just I’d like to see the footage recreated.

Not to get too technical with the 200 yard pop can shooter.
However I was curious about the size of the rabbit the feller was shooting at 100 yards....Not sure I could see a rabbit at 100 yards, let alone hit it with open sights.

you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

My scopes are 95% MIRAD, 100 yds/ Up 1.80 Mil , 200 yds up 7.26 mils / 300 yds 14.15 Mils be awhile since I shot MOA and shot inches Mils work so much easier for me

The most glorious thing about 22lr is the availability of quality ammunition. I have been able to consistently take squirrels at 100 yards plus with a drop cart

[quote=Lugnut]Out of the five I own, the Remington 541-S Custom Sporter is by far the most accurate. They stopped making them forty years ago. Good used ones go for $700.00-$1,500.

Yes the 541 is the way to go. Very nice rifle and shoot very good. Ammo is a big part if making a rifle shoot good.]

I got a Remington 597 when I was 12, and now my daughter is shooting it. It’s a tack driver, standard velocity cci is what shoots best, one ragged hole groups.

I have heard others with negative experiences with this gun but I must have gotten a good one. Lord knows how many boxes and buckets of shells I’ve ran through her , plinking. Feeds nice , no complaints here. No reason for me to buy any other!
