I visited my 96 year old mom yesterday in the old folks home. I'm pretty sure she will die soon, her batteries are running out very fast. She is transitioning to heaven very graciously.

When I got there, she could barely open her eyes. In a very weak whisper, she said several times, "I'm so sleepy."

Half jokingly, I asked her if she would like some coffee. She emphatically said, "I'd love some."
I went downstairs and got her a cup.
After a couple of gulps, it was almost as if a miracle had happened.

Maybe this elixir only works on old Swedes, but who knows.

You're blessed to still have her around.
Mark. Get her a special mug and bring her some good stuff everytime you visit.

She may be sleepy from medication.
You gotta watch those old age homes, often they medicate the residents to make their job easier.

Really made me smile Waggler, thanks for sharing that!

My Dad was in his 90s, and nearing the end.
Kept asking for a beer.

Nurse said, " it ain't going to hurt him, just pour it in a cup"
Me; " Be right back....".

As an old truck driver I can honestly say there has been a lot of loads delivered on time cause of that magic elixir. Sipping a cup right now.

Your mom sure has a wonderful spark in her eyes.
