WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 8 inches, except 6 to 19 inches on ridge tops and elevations above passes. Winds gusting as high as 65 mph, significantly reducing visibility to near zero.

WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 5 AM MST Saturday.

IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Widespread blowing and drifting snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning and evening commute.

-1 this morning I need to check cat sets today, just keep moving don’t expose much skin and a guy will be OK . I just rigged new binding on the snowshoes time to try them out. I’ve e been just walking it but hope the snowshoes speed things up some. The last couple storms left behind just enough drift snow to drift my trails shut again. Should be a couple mile day today might just pull sets and leave the cams out I enjoy those pics they are interesting.

I'm about 30 miles west of you out in the open country. I'm gonna have some serious drifts to move when this is over!

Started snowing last night sometime. Really tiny flakes this morning. maybe 2 or 3". Now the moderate to heavy stuff is happening. My weather station says 6mph winds but the snow is coming down at about a 45 degree angle. Don't trust my station anyway.
The now is wet. 31* My wife got home from chores about an hour ago and you cannot see inside her car for the stuck snow. Blizzard starting about 5ish. then below 0 for the next 2 days.
Probably over a foot on the ground right now.
We ain't used to this stuff.

You're still on the warm side of the storm down there, Bob. 12 degrees here in central Iowa and has been cold since last night. Light, fluffy snow. Stay safe!

Up here it’s blowing pretty hard but I can still see good, I don’t think we got the snow you guys did around highway 30 I’m up north of old highway 20.

I'm two and a half miles north of HWY 30 and a mile west of HWY 169. At about 2 am I looked out, the wind wasn't blowing hard yet but it was snowing very hard. I can't tell now if its still snowing or just blowing. Hopefully the total snowfall will be less than forecasted.

You must be far north of us, we still don’t have enough snow to use a snowmobile in the mountains around here.

Almost -20 now, and clearing skies. The temps will really drop soon, and I'm thankful for the insulating snow. -37 plus is on the way.

We're supposed to catch it starting around 2 pm today, thru next Wed. Spent most of Thurs fetching firewood up to the house.

Been getting all of that Global Warming all night!! Shoveled it all morning

Blizzard is supposed to start here between 3 and 4 PM. I blew out snow at noon and will again around 4-5 PM. We have 7-8 inches of heavy wet snow. We will see if the forecasters are correct. We are in the 12-16 inch area.
