Yes- there can be other contributors but these are the two I have found in pull-out conditions and you had both.

I agree, had 5 pull outs all were leverage situations

Agreed, this is why I’m not a fan of “cabling off” to a tree or post with DP’s. Given enough time it is possible for them to get the springs decompressed with their aid. Short stake them right on the trail, if tore up establish the trail again, or move it a couple feet up or down the trail.
