Anybody know of any arts and craft shows in Anchorage around Iditarod? We've never went to Iditarod, always been out in a village when it happens. My wife has painted several moose antlers, and is wanting to try to sell them, I thought that would be a good time. The only one I could find online is only for Alaska natives.

There used to be a huge sale at the Sullivan arena during Fur Rondy. Sullivan isn't used for that anymore. Not sure about Iditarod. I would call the Anch. Chamber of commerce and maybe the Idiarod trail committee.

Back in the late 80s there were anti fur folks protesting at the Sullivan and some other places during Fur Rondy. Dean Wilson organized some of us to go down from Fairbanks and do pro fur picketing

The ATA has a fur auction in Fbks. during the North American dog race. It's usually pretty successful and brings good prices. You might consider that. There are also bazaars in Nome and usually a ton of people there for the end. Probably a bit spendy to get to Nome from KSM!
Hope something works out for you and her.

Good to see Dean again even if it’s in a picture! Thanks MT.

Cracker is your wife's artwork mushing related? That might be the best judge where to travel to.
