That's cheap on labor per hour. Most are charging $100-$125 an hour around here. Last shop I used, shop rate $165.00 hr. All shops here are at least a month wait. They are ALL short handed and super busy.

here is my trick for hub removal I just don't know how well it would work with the rotor still in the mix I drive out a wheel stud since the new hub comes with them longest grade 8 bolt I could find at he hardware store , a stack of washers and a nut hold the nut and run the impact on the bolt , the end of the bolt is pressed into the iron of the steering knuckle I don't have a way to post the video but this is a still right before it is ready to take a couple swings of the hammer and come off ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2024/01/full-35262-204935-hubremoval.jpg) I see they make a tool that does this now and gets a bit further out , not sure if it would get you around the rotor https://www.amazon.com/LVOUP-Remover-Removal-Assemblies-Trucks/dp/B0C6GJJTTF?ref_=ast_sto_dp in the interest of labor I would replace the rotors at the same time or at least grease the back of the hub well so it comes off when you need to change them.

All you gotta do is knock them off with a hammer. I’ve only had 2 that I had to use a puller on out of several hundreds I’ve changed.
Sometimes you have to get a chisel behind them to get them started.

Rock auto is fine but go with the better bearings ntn, moog, Timkin, etc. Amazon and eBay ones that are really cheap are just that, they are junk. I know cause I have put several on for people and 6 months to a year have to replace them again.
Most shops are going to use better more expensive bearings and then add 30 to 35% to the cost.

12 month 12K is the standard warrantee on most of the bearings at napa
they probably know 405 will cover whatever napa has in stock
depending on the day that may be the 268 or the 346 or 351 option
they tell you the shortest warranty 12m 12k the longest is 36m 60k
they get what ever napa or whoever they use has that day that can be brought over
sorry the 232 bearing is online order ship to home only

I thought it was $405 for the whole job. That is way too much for just the bearing. I agree with Bluegrassman. Don't get a real cheap bearing, it will go bad in a year just like he said. I have seen it many times.
