Those '24 models with the turbo 4 cyls scare me...Much prefer the '23 and older naturally aspirated 6 cyls. I'm glad I got the '23 with the six cylinder. Like you, I'm not wild about the idea of a turbo 4 banger.

The V6 4.0 2008, and the V6 3.5 2018 I have are solid, and your V6 3.5 '23 is a sure bet as well.

You are one heck of a negotiator. Right now they might budge 2,000 but not 8,000. reason being is exactly what this thread is about. LOW INVENTORY. If you won't pay 1-2 thousand below sticker the next guy in will....
Hurry sell it to someone on here make yourself 5,000. Yea that's what they have Ya’ll believing. Not true. You have to be serious about walking away and then do it.

Spike369: Also keep in mind that there is a difference in price and desirability between an access cab or 4 door cab. I believe you have an access cab.
Yep, I'd much rather have the extended/access cab than a four door. But not at all interested in a 2 wheel drive. If I'm buying it, it will be 4x4 with a manual transmission and preferably a locking diff. (that can be added aftermarket if the price is right). Roll down windows would be far preferred over electric but I don't believe that is an option even special ordered any more.

I was checking to see what’s out there but almost nothing to choose from 3 inventory checks showed about 1 per dealer but lots of Tundra on the lots. One SR5 was close to $40,000 but not much info to go along with that price and no photo. I just bought a 2023 Tacoma 4x4 for $20250 2 weeks ago. Maybe it's just the angle of the picture, but that bed looks about useless.

You might be speaking from experience but no way . 4 door has way more room even if no one rides back there. There will be a time when someone must ride there and if they are older than 6 it’s not comfortable. Other than just driving that model of truck doesn’t allow for much practical use. Not going to use it for a beater truck or shouldn’t bought it new in my opinion. But your money your life

The 2023 Toyota Tacoma starts at $27,250 for the base SR trim. The SR5 begins at $29,040, the Limited model starts at $40,005, and the Trail Special Edition begins at $40,470. If you're shopping for a TRD model, TRD Sport starts at $34,160, TRD Off-Road begins at $35,440, and the top TRD Pro model starts at $46,685.
Spike I say you did very well. How many more of them did they have on the lot. I may make the drive for that price.

And I got the 6 foot box with mine. That is barley adequate for me - the 5 foot version was out of the question.

I have the access cab and yes that’s what I wanted for my use, 2 more doors and a shorter bed or longer wheel base I did not need. Finding the access cab can be tricky most are 4 door boats on the lots.

Doesn’t mean I’m going to run out and buy the same thing I like my access cab. If I drive by the Ford dealer it’s the same thing all 4 door cowboy Cadillacs to pick from, Im not going to buy one of those either. LOL I bought what I wanted and I like the choice I made and the quick access to the back when needed.
