For sure the truck lots are covered with them Sunday go to church trucks. I need a working truck to get around the MO river break and high country out in the Black Hills. More truck is just more to get stuck in those places. LOL

A 4 door would be nice for the kids to get in and out of but if I can get a new 4x4 for 20,250 I can live with our it besides more bed space would be better for me most of the time. I'm likely to only have my boys with me 99 % I'm alone but with the two of them one in the back and one up front it would work ok.

They have a work truck option that comes without the back seats it’s a pretty basic truck option. At least in 2018 that was an option.

2004 is my favorite year, and own a pair. White taco is v6 auto, red is 2.7l 4 cylinder 5speed.

Only weekend drivers , wife has 2020 4runner, also my company work truck is with me 24/7. Too many trucks in driveway.

Red truck was just inspected and tuned 150K miles and will be selling it soon. Summer wheels and tires go with it.

I would prefer a back seat . Dad has a single cab and that would be a hard pass for me unless the price was crazy low. Jus no room at all. My single cabe ranger with bench seat seems to have more room behind the seat and I can cram myself and two boys in it legally.

My old 94 sr5 had the tiny extended cab and two fold down jump seats in the back. Cramed my daughter in the back ok when she was small. But that little bit of space made all the difference. Room for guns and gear.

True looked at my tundra Oct 25 by the 30th they had the price down 6 grand so I bought it.

2004 Gen 1 is my all time favorite Tacoma as well...Toyota hit their apex right then with dependability, perfect size, etc

You bet PF, the subsequent generations 2&3 are very good, but those Gen 1's are ideal.

The little tacomas get around so much easier, even parking lots, pulling off along roadsides. My wife’s 4runner 2020 feels like a tank and turning radius is wide.

4-door with 6' box here and no problems getting around...fact is, longer wheel base helps out in many situations. No way id ever go back to a short box, just not enough space. I have a few comrades with short box that now wish they had gone with long box. As mentioned before, to each their own.

I'm with you with needing the long box, midlander. The 5ft. is just not big enough.

Spike did not buy it for $20,250 he paid over 30K and he also bought an assess cab which is cheaper. But still his price was fair. Assess cabs are harder to sell than 4 doors.

The access cab comes with a 7’ box I don’t think I’d like a 6 footer much.

The Stout is supposed to be smaller than the Tacoma if it ever gets here it could be a hybrid or EV.

No, it doesnt....its a 6' box. Its has the shorter wheelbase the same as 4-door shortbox. Be nice if a Tacoma came with a 7' box but they dont.

News alert. The 2024 Tacoma will NOT be offered in Access cab configuration. You will need to flip down the front seat to get behind them or buy a 4 door. Low sales volume was the reason for discontinuing. I always owned an access cab version. Got the same on my Nissan Titan. Bed room is more important.
